G-d's calendar: 23rd day, 12th month, year 5771

Isaiah 40:1-3
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your G-d. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of YHWH's hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of YHWH, make straight in the desert a highway for our G-d.

John 1:23
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of YHWH, as said the prophet Isaiah.

In our call to serve YHWH or in Y'hshuwah's invitation to follow Him, we often appear vague in our direction. I personally know what G-d has called me to do; and every time I allow myself to be distracted or become discouraged or doubt, I sin. In doubting, I am letting my own understanding supersede G-d's plan and purpose. Now, most of us will probably not quote a passage from Hebrew Scriptures and say: "That's me," as John did, but we should have lives that bear witness to the Word.
