Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear G-d, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
I don't know the exact number of times G-d has instructed His people to just do as they were told. Doesn't everything work better when we follow the instructions? He even sent The Illustration, His Son the Messiah, before dying for our redemption; to demonstrate perfectly what it is to live in righteous obedience to the commandments. You know, G-d still has the same definition for sin as always: disobedience to His Commandments.
